18. “What Would You Ask an AI Expert?”: A Simple Question Reveals Complex K-12 Student Thinking
Overall rating: 2 Overall recomendation: Do not accept Nominate for award? No Award comments: Comments for authors: Reviewer comments are in agreement that this paper’s grounding in the literature is too broad (“sometimes treats the gap as bigger than it is without showing a tighter map of what exactly is missing in prior studies”) , and that its theoretical framing “is not really used as an analytic tool;” “these perspectives are not sufficiently anchored in well-established learning sciences theories.” Reviewers also provide helpful suggestions on improving the study’s methodology to provide stronger evidence for the findings. Although the first reviewer scored this paper more highly, it was an insubstantial review, and does not provide any counter-arguments against the limitations noted by the other two reviewers.
