The definition of what students should be learning does not belong to the research world, it belongs in the practitioner and policy world. I don’t think it’s on the CER field to both define and research the field.

We are in a place where the leaders in the field are also the researchers in the field, and sometimes this creates conflicts of interest.

What is the difference between field definition and big research challenges that we need to address?
