Curriculum conversations part 1, professional socialization
I want to think more about the ‘critical’ take on professional socialization. It feels insufficiently specific.
At stake in professional socialization is our beliefs about why teacher preparation might successd in producing effective teachers, particularly when we know that many (most) schools are dominated by inequitable practices, outdated beliefs about learning, and organizational goals which serve their students poorly.
