Rich Davis reflection

Rich, office mate. Are you the Arnan to my Paulo, or the Paulo to my Arnan? Only time will tell. As you finish your PhD, I have been reflecting on what a pillar you were in mine. You were a key support from before the beginning until after the end, constantly helping remind me of the beauty, art, and joy which is not only possible during grad school, but really the point. I remember the weeks we spent building those goddam TUIO tables, combining woodworking, software, electronics, and optics; none of us could have done it on our own. We travelled together through the deepest darks of deep learning. Huge congratulations! Pierre’s lab will be lucky to have you–I deeply hope I can come visit my Swiss colleagues in the next year.
