  • Use visual language to suggest the structure of the talk. (Diagrams for individual studies are great)
  • Perhaps, before looking at the results, remind us about the question. Maybe a blank graph?
  • Return more frequently to the central questions
  • Your summary (line 43) develops theory of design for learning, but doesn’t effectively package the preceding talk.

Finer-grain + I like that you call out the terminology you’ll use, and then apply it to refining your question. + I like that you ground yourself in research fields. + I like that you politely ask people not to interrupt you with technical questions about the studies. + Slide 23: Great, very clear. + Slide 26: “There is nothing inherent in the medium that is good or bad for learning.” This claim is too broad, and invites objections. + Slide 28: I like that you emphasize collaboration - Slide 32: ICLS citation has a typo - Slide 33: Capitalization is inconsistent - Slide 33: Pull out the point that you have to theorize what’s getting learned. It’s not just better or worse. + I like that you connect to your identity as someone who keeps in touch with Switzerland from abroad (but don’t really know the audience, what they might find pandering…) - Slide 49: Don’t efface Pierre’s research with your words :)
