1. Numerous groups are not clear about their design goals, or about how their design goals are framed as educational design goals. 
2. Getting clear about your design goals (and, when possible, the users) will make the crits much more productive. It allows your critics to consider alternatives within the space. 
3. Get more clear and specific about what your technology is. It hurts your argument to talk about pie-in-the-sky ideas you’d like to do someday.
4. Ask your critics questions.
