Center theoretical questions, not practical questions (context comes first currently)
-
RQs follow self-efficacy model; highlight this. (For teachers, self-efficacy means knowing what to do and having the resources -> actually implementing inquiry)
-
Is this an evaluation study, or is there some theoretical development here? (Will we address a why? If so, can it be lifted into the research questions?)
-
Is success of implementation relevant if it’s about self-efficacy? (Does self-efficacy require success?)
-
Given how important it was to increase awareness of resources, how important was a focus on self-efficacy? Might it be enough to simply make resources available?
-
Ground this in prior work (ex: Susan’s)
-
In “findings:interview codes” slide, I’d like to know that those with efficacy were a subset of those who had access to the resources…
-
Primary barriers:
-
A lack of time. (ground this in prior literature… I’m sure this point is well-known)
-
Alignment with curriculum and standards
-
Lack of administrator support
