Literacies meeting: July 3, 2017

  1. What do we mean by literacies? Grounding it in a sociocultural, equity stance. Most of the time: individual inquiry into what I mean by literacies. 

  2. Note: Perhaps we could draw on our diverse backgrounds as a teaching team, and model by explaining what literacy means to each of us. This could potentially develop as a dialogue over the course of the class. 

  3. Desire for previously-set norms to be acknowledged

  4. Preferred-gender pronouns
