Thailand Paulo wants to see when we do workshops with teachers, how can we evolve the format? Make it something more than just learning the Gogo board and the laser cutter. When it’s for teachers, how can we do something that will ensure that they will do something with the knowledge, and not just some cool skills?
Social norms: What should be doing in class? Knowledge: Teaching structure Thinking about Assessment
Scaffolding: Design a unit or an activity Curricular construction class
What we need by tomorrow is to send a first set of readings A week from tomorrow, we will discuss the readings and give them a new set to get them warmed up for the workshop.

CURRICULUM AND ASSESSMENT the issue with the school is they have a lot of freedom. Not sure much training they have as teachers. It would be nice if what they would get out of the workshop would be intentional curricular design. We could add some of the action research pieces that we did last time. —> How do you build in assessments and evaluations and feedback points? — purpose — actor (teacher, self, peer, hybrid) — audience (self, school, student, parent, system) —> Where in the pedagogical cycle are opportunities for research? — reflections, exit tickets, peer feedback, —> Research tools — email, forms, analytics — Building a culture of research at your school. Communities of practice, planned learning communities.
Pull together curriculum for this workshop
