Paulo Meeting 9/2/16 0. Chris status checkin      lots of studies, not as much writing…      P: doing a lot of studies is a way to realize what i like…       maybe things will circle back….

**2. Google Blocks study. **     What measures? What tasks?     Do we need to make a lit review?         Marina Beyers         Mike Horn (early)         IDC Proceedings             There is always someone doing a physical block-based              programming interface. 

     Social interaction? and collaboration…      Embodied cognition.       Montessori / Froebel?      Computational Thinking?

     Maybe there are some interesting ways that kids can orchestrate their coding. The physicality.       “Do something interesting to show what’s possible with tangible programming"      “I convinced them that they should do a platform, not a product."

3. Google research meeting. Anything I should know about or prepare?      Date 9/20      Coordinate with Diana, make a powerpoint with data to present…           Start with what’s on my plate: List the studies we want to do           The work we’ve already done.            Related studies that are complete. 

4. Ravenswood FabLearn labs research      Hard to publish. IDC?      Netlogo. People cite the Netlogo software.       Find a CSCL: on FabLab at school.       Paulo & Marcelo book chapter on FabLab at school.            Deep learning, not quick projects.       Maybe we start with a position paper. 

5. Next week’s meeting with MediaX people      It’s fine.
