Obernotes 5/1 Sunday cleans      Lea: Request to have somebody text out reminder for Sunday cleans so it doesn’t feel passive-agressive.       Lucas: Propose you can sign up for both spots on a weekend.       Chris: Volunteers to set up checklist.       Maya will send out reminders

Termites      Adam has termites. Talket to Cass; will call an exterminator to learn about options.                 Will follow up.       Sean: Check out other buildings too. 

Requests      Close doors overnight, or tons of bugs.

     Junk mail. Stop putting it in Doug’s mailbox.  Social       Prom is happening. Maya will follow up.        Doug reminder: Tuesday after next big bike ride.      Cougar: Please sign up for this app.        Adam: Has anybody played One Night Vampire? Gonna buy it.

Summer:       It looks like people are generally around, except for the third week of June, last week of August.       POLICY: If you can’t make cook, find another way to contribute. Let the house know about it.       POLICY: If you’re gone 2 weeks or more, let the house know and you can drop off the rotation. You still pay.  Maya: Leaving July 31.  Emma:       Push to next meeting. 

POLICY: When someone gives notice, 

  1. When a resident officially gives notice, we open a period of asking for possible new residents. One house resident will be the facilitator for the process, starting by sending out a calendar. Process is confidential. 
  2. The new resident interest period must last at least two weeks. 
  3. There must be at least one week between the end of the interest period and the decision meeting, to give time to get to know possible residents. 
  4. At the decision meeting:
    1. any resident can [publicly] veto a potential resident, no rationale needed.
    2. Non-vetoed residents open to lottery. Each resident can add 3 tickets to the lottery.
    3. If >=60% tickets favor one person, that’s it.
  5. The decision meeting will hopefully result in a top prospect and a backup. Give potential residents one week to decide.
